Another Strong Weekend.

We had a solid weekend at the GMB Stocking Hat Classic. We went 1-1 the first day, winning 5-1 vs Mavericks but losing to a good Xtreme team 9-0, in a game that was 3-0 going into the last inning. We recieved the 8th and last seed for the Gold Bracket on Sunday. Facing the #1 seed Midwest Renegades, we held on a beat them 7-6. Then we had our rematch with the #4 seed Xtreme and defeated them 7-4. I went 2-2 in that game with a double down the line. However, I injured my finger sliding into home and missed the rest of the game.
My finger swelled and there was thought that it may be broken. I was unable to play in the Championship game, but we played well and had our chances against the #2 seed Blue Angels (formally the Recruits-Knott). We lost 4-1.
The swelling in my finger has gone down, it doesn't hurt much and i can grip at bat and hit off tee and in the cages. So I think I may have just jammed my finger. I think we may get into one more fall tournament. But if this was the last one, I felt like I had a solid fall season. I put on weight and perhaps the hard work in the gym has increased my power. My extra base hits, OPS and SLG were all really good. Here is my fall stats and team ranks in 11 games (min 5 at bats).
Average .632 (1st)
OBP .781 (1st)
OPS 1.834 (1st)
SLG 1.053 (1st)
Hits 12 (3rd)
2B - 4 (1st)
3B - 2 (1st)
RBI - 8 (3rd)
R - 18 (1st)
BB/HBP - 13 (2nd)
SB - 11/11 (1st)
Gotta Keep Working!
